11/1 First Snow
Nasty windy cold rain turned to a little snow which stayed for a few hours.
11/2 Oriental Bittersweet
An invasive plant that eventually kills the trees it is crawling on. Very dense foilage during the summer. The birds like the berries which greatly assists the plant in spreading.
11/3 Big Oak With a Little Color
Old oak trees seem to goe directly from green to brown, whereas the younger trees turn a pretty dark red for a few days.
11/4 Common Milkweed Seeding
Seed pods opening earlier this year. Pretty white seeds that fly a long distance in the wind.
11/5 Another Bush Finally Starts Turning Color
These bushes have distinctly green stems and when green look like the burning bushes, but those bushes have turned and lost their leaves already.
11/6 Unusual Color on Dead Hosta Leaf
I wonder if there were some green plants underneath this leaf.

Another tree that has been green up till yesterday and suddently changed color.

This is one of our azalea bushes and is the last thing to hold some color. When we get a big freeze the leaves will finally drop. Almost all of the rest of the tree and bush leaves are on the ground.

These are the longest ice crystals I've seen around here in a long time.
11/13 Hole in Afghan Needs Repair
Needs to be straightened and made ready to receive a new knitting. Big problem will be finding yarn to match at least a little in color, and size.

A typical late Fall and early winter appearance here in Western Michigan.

Nest must have blown down last night--had pretty gusty winds for a bit. Interesting colors in it.

They really are a bright whitish color. Easily spotted amont the dead leaves.
