1/1/20 Early Morning Sunshine

Great after a day or two of gloom.

1/2 Dixie - Trying New Technique

Often times there's a need to change the background--like this one that was shot in a corner of my study with all sorts of bac background and things around. So, tried replacing most of it. Turned out pretty well, I think.

Shot through my B&L microscope, using just one of the oculars.

1/4 Brine Shrimp

Another microscopic shot. This small animal is less than a mm in length. It has no coloration in real life--but here stained with eosin to show up. It is a relative of the Ocean Krill, which is the main food source of many whales.

1/5 Black Ceiling - Main Street Pub

All flat black painted ceilings are especially difficult to shoot. This one is interesting, so worth a try. With a little manipulation I think I got the essence of it.

Interesting colors behind it are from people with colored sweaters.

Shadows very long, after a pretty day of sunshine.

Even though the stems and leaves have been dead and dry for several months the seed pods haven't opened till the last couple days. So pretty, white and fluffy.

Very windy last night and today. Artifical flowers caught in the fence.--provide an interesting spot of color in an otherwise brown field of view.

One of our rare foggy days.

Rained all night and most of today, and now quickly getting cold. So, quick that water droplets on trees and bushes just froze before they had a chance to evaporate or fall off in the wind.

Just dominates this section of the woods. Temp warming up again.

Looks like they are ready to disperse the seeds any time.

This bunch of milkweed seeds stayed nice unp till yeasterday afternoon when I start ed to rain. So, after a day of heavy at times, rain it looks like this.

Only one window facing the back yard gave this view. It was the kitchen window which looks out through the back screened in porch.

1/19 Matt Blowing Out Driveway

And what a job it was--there was a frozen layer of snow and ice and 2 inches of snow on top of that. Didn't even have to wear a hat--working too hard.

1/20 Decorative Lamp in Entrance Lobby

Was witing for Barb and saw this lamp , and looking at the underside, I noticed there was no light bulb in it--just a piece of decoration.

How does God cast blue shadows from a black & white dog and human on white snow?
