Supposed to snow all day and part of the night tonight.

2/5 Snow Just Moved Out

Unusual that we have clearing almost immediately after a snowstorm. Apparently no lake effect snow.

But, bitter sub zero cold. My hands get too cold in seconds outside when trying to shoot.

2/9 Christmas Cactus

Not good shooting conditions outside. This cactus and all most been blooming continuously all winter so far.

2/10 Rhody Leaves

The leaves are amazing--they stay green and supple, but curl up and hang limp in the extreme cold we're having. But, when it warms up a bit they will uncurl and look alive again.

Some of the detail of the individual flakes is still present about 18 hours after the snowfell.

Was loking for some other yarn, and saw this, got it out intdneing to try and straighten it out. But, found out is was a lot of short pieces. It' the skein that Dixie chewed on shortly after we got her. So, it will go into making padding for dog beds.

Almost every winter after a prolonged cold spell, we get some sort of ice build up under the furnace exhaust.
